For the Black House Project, I scanned and created a 3D model representation of the Historical Black House in Blacksburg, Virginia. The Black House was built around 1897 and is in the Queen Anne Victorian architectural style. The owner, Alexander Black, was a great-great-grandson of Samuel Black, who bought the land on which Blacksburg is now located. The data collected was used in augmented reality and virtual reality in the ICAT Cube to visually narrate the history of this important structure.
