In this ongoing project, I am collaborating with Dr. Sterling Nesbitt from the Geosciences department at Virginia Tech where I am creating an augmented and virtual reality dinosaur dig. Using photogrammetry, Dr. Nesbitt’s team has been documenting several months of a dig from a fossil unit. I will retopologize the 3D data created from the photogrammetry and use it to create an augmented reality demonstrating the digging process. CT data of the dinosaurs found within the dig will also be explored and shown in AR.
